Founded in the UK, WAISH was created for women who have a deep love of fashion but also want their clothing to be functional and weatherproof.
We believe clothing should offer joy, confidence and an expression of your identity. Our winter collections feature our signature fleece lining whilst our summer pieces focus on breathability, because nothing should get in the way of you feeling good each day.
We are passionate about sustainability, every piece is made with care and intention, we actively source natural and recycled materials.
FASHION & FUNCTION: A LETTER FROM THE FOUNDER
Meet Zainab
My first exposure of fashion, was from my mother, an avid artist with a background in tailoring. My clothing was often made from scratch, instilling my deep love for experimentation and individuality.
In my early twenties I decided to follow in my mother's footsteps and study fashion design with the intent to have a brand one day.
The idea of merging function and fashion came through my own frustration with clothing, whilst working in offices. Functional clothing is often not fashionable and fashionable clothing is not functional.
For many women, winter involves resorting to frumpy layers and boyish outdoor clothes, wearing so many layers and still not being warm. Summer clothing is often made from fabrics that do not keep you cool. I noticed that function was not a priority in women's fashion. I decided to create a brand that prioritised both fashion and function.
My vision for WAISH is to create clothing that makes every woman feel confident, beautiful and comfortable.
